Arguably one of London’s best drinking offers on the high street, Vagabond’s have built their brand on the ethos that everyone can enjoy wine from around the world, without feeling intimidated by the stereotypical wine snobbery and expense. The concept offers you the opportunity to pour your own, which again, breaks down those barriers of ‘good wine’ has to be ‘expensive’, as you can dispense any wine yourself in any size glass you wish. Our client directed us to build the interior around their products, creating libraries of displays to showcase the huge variety and selections of product they have, giving guests an experience like no other, as it makes them feel as if inside an Urban Winery. The most exciting part of designing with Vagabond, is that everything within the interior has a reason for being there, whether it is a display unit of product, that acts as a partition, or seating that has a storage space built in underneath, everything must have a reason and double up as something else. This Birmingham site is Vagabonds first venture outside of London, making guests on the Colmore Row the first to sample the delights of the worlds wine selection within a very beautiful, simple and raw setting.
